Urgency is a great technique you can use to get people to act right away and increase your conversion rate in the process.
This abandoned cart email by Thr1ve uses urgency in the subject line: ‘Orders close Monday – don’t miss out’ and in the headline of the email copy: ‘Orders Close on Monday!’.
They’ve injected the delicious food items left in the cart, into the email and give two clear CTA’s buttons to ‘Complete Your Purchase’ or ‘browse more meals online’. This gives the abandoner to option to finish their purchase then and there, or go back to their cart and change up the order or add a few more items which will help increase average order value.
I did go back and add a few more items before I completed my purchase 😉
