The storytelling in this email is just awesome. The banner uses a gif that captures the childish nature of the announcement of new products, thus making the strategy and tone of this email even stronger.
We’ve seen many cliches that announce new offers or new products based on the seasons of the year, but Tattly goes beyond that. The story telling starts with the subject line by adding a caterpillar emoji. While the preheader could have added to this subject line they do a good job at keeping these two simple.
Then we’re into the email and surprised by a nice hero image that creates a story perfectly written for our inner child. Taking on the gif effects as if the caterpillar was eating away to show us a smiling girl covered in her nature tattlys. This is by far one of the best and super simple (and easy to implement) uses of interactivity in an email.
