Subject: Still looking for Desks?

After browsing stand up desks on Kogan.com (whilst logged into my account) I wasn’t 100% decided on which desk to get so I closed the window tab of the website. Six days later I received this browse abandonment email.
The subject line: “Still looking for Desks?” is what captured my attention, because purchasing a new desk had actually been on my mind for the past week, so this question and the timing of the email send were a perfect combination to get me to open the email.
While this email isn’t amazing from a design perspective, it’s definitely very effective from the content they’ve put into the email. The opening line: “Hi! You’re receiving this email because you’ve shown an interest in Desks.” is a good reminder for why they’re sending me the email, they then proceed to show recommendations of top selling items from that category which include two of the products I was looking at, with a clear call to action to “View’ the item back on Kogan.com.
Did I purchase the item? Not yet because I am still looking around, but I have starred the email and I see it almost every day as a reminder.
